Amund Rustebakke Nubson was born October 28, 1839 at Begnadalen, Valdres, Oppland, Norway to Nuub Amundsen Rustebakke and Olaug Christoffersdatter Goplerud.

He emigrated in 1861 to America and settled at Wisconsin.

Amund married Kari Haraldsdatter Grov on October 17, 1863 at Vermont, Dane, Wisconsin. The couple moved west to Iowa.

They had 4 children: Hannah Nicolene, Henry Nicolai, Martin and Ole.

Found in the 1870 census living at Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa: Amand Nunbson 31, Carrie Nunbson 33, Nicoline Nunbson 3, Nicole Nunbson 1, Jno Nunbson 23.

Family found in the 1873 Rock Creek Lutheran Church membership list: Amund Nubsen 33; wife Kari (Haraldsdatter Grov) 34; Hannah Nicolene 6; Henrike Nicolai 3 yrs 6 mos and Martin 1 yr 6 mos.

Found in the 1880 census at Kensett, Worth, Iowa: Landowner.

Amund Nubson died November 17, 1884 at Kensett, Worth, Iowa and is buried at Elk Grove Cemetery, Brookfield, Worth, Iowa.
