Nora Thelma Johnson was born April 3, 1925 at Sidonia, Mountrail, North Dakota to Ole W. Johnson and Maria Anderson, the eighth of their ten children. Her siblings were: Helmer Jester, Hazel Cora, Walter Clarence, Earl Warner, Adolph Bjorn, Florence Mary, Olga Marie Earlina, Evelyn Irene and Elvira Doris.

1925: Nora Johnson age 2 months.

1930: Ole Johnson 51, Mary Johnson 41, Helmer J Johnson 22, Hazel C Johnson 20, Walter C Johnson 18, Adolph B Johnson 12, Florence M Johnson 10, Olga M E Johnson 7, Nora T Johnson 5, Evelyn I Johnson 3.

1940: Ole Johnson 61, Marie Johnson 51, Walter Johnson 27, Olga Johnson 17, Nora Johnson 15, Evelyn Johnson 13, Elvira Johnson 8.

Her family moved to rural Kensett, Worth, Iowa where her dad took over a family member's farm.

Nora married Maynard Mogk on July 13, 1946 at the Little Brown Church, Nashua, Chickasaw, Iowa. The couple had 4 children, 3 boys and a girl.

Nora died January 1996 at Northwood, Worth, Iowa and was buried at the Kensett Cemetery, Kensett, Worth, Iowa.
