Adolph Bjorn Johnson was born April 29, 1917 at Palermo, Mountrail, North Dakota to Ole W Johnson and Maria Anderson, the fifth of their ten children. His siblings were: Helmer Jester, Hazel Cora, Walter Clarence, Earl Warner, Florence Mary, Olga Marie Earlina, Nora Thelma, Evelyn Irene and Elvira Doris.
