Julietta Andersdatter Grove was born September 7, 1877 at Fertile, Worth, Iowa to Anders (Andrew) Grov and Guri Pedersdatter Dokken.

She married Ole Halvorsen Brenden on May 20, 1896 at Osage, Mitchell, Iowa. The couple had 2 sons: Arthur Helmer Brenden and a male who died in infancy.

After marriage, the couple lived at Osage, Mitchell, Iowa for seven years.

Found in the 1900 census at Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa: Ole Brenden 32, Juliatta Brenden 22, Arthur H Brenden 3, William L Grove 16, Peder Golien 27.

Found in the 1905 & 1910 censuses at Dexter, Mower, MN:
1905: Etta Brenden age 27.
1910: Ole Brenden 42, Etta J Brenden 32, Arthur H Brenden 12.

1913: moved to Fertile, Worth, IA.

Found in the 1915 - 1930 censuses at Fertile, Worth, Iowa:
1920: Ole Brenden 53, Etta Brenden 42, Arthur Brenden 22.
1925: Ole Brenden 57, Ettie Brenden 47.
1930: Ole Brenden 62, Etta Brenden 52, Andrew Groe 86 (Etta's father).

Obituary, probably from the local newspaper:
Mrs Julietta Grove Brenden, 61, died last Thursday at the home of her son Arthur who lives west of Fertile, following a short illness.

Funeral services were held last Sunday at the Lutheran Church in Fertile of which she was a member. The Rev H E Oland officiated at her rites, assisted by the Rev R O Hjelmeland, a former pastor of Mrs Brenden's. Mrs Merle Hill and Ernest Kuns sang two duets at the services: "Have Thine Own Way Lord" and " The Nearer, the Sweeter" and Miss Lois Walker and Vada Marie Eikenbury sang "Nearer, Still Nearer" as a duet.

Pallbeareres were cousins of Mrs. Brenden, including Henry Ouverson, Martin Ouverson, Johnny Ouverson, Dewey Overson, Ole Methus and Albert Methus.

Burial was made in Brush Point Cemetery. The floral offerings were beautiful and many gifts were given to the missionary work and orphan's home in her memory.
Julietta "Etta" Andersdatter Grove (Mrs Ole Halvorsen Brenden) was born September 7, 1877 at Fertile, Worth, Iowa. She was the daughter of Mr & Mrs A A Grove, early residents of Fertile.

She was married to Ole Brenden of Osage on May 20, 1896. Two boys were born to them: Arthur, at whose home she was living at the time of her death, and a son who died in infancy. Mr & Mrs Brenden made their home near Osage for seven years, then moved to Minnesota for a short time. In 1913, they returned to Iowa, locating at Fertile where they spent the rest of their lives. Mr Brenden preceded his wife in death three years ago.

Julietta died in 1939 at Fertile, Worth, Iowa and is buried at Brush Point Cemetery, Fertile, Worth, Iowa.
