Guy Ellis Cooper May 24, 1882 -- February 11, 1963

GUY COOPER DIES AT 81; RITES AT MANLY

Manly -- Guy Cooper 81, a retired farmer, died Monday at a Mason City Hospital. funeral services will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at Bride's Funeral Home here and at 2 p.m. at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church. the Rev. w.. r. Hamilton will officiate. Burial will be in Kensett Cemetery.

Born May 24, 1882 at Kensett, he was the son of Jesse and Mary Cooper. the family moved to a farm northeast of Manly when he was 19. He was married to Mamie Paulson November 15, 1902 at Kensett. they lived on the same farm all their married lives. She died March 1, 1956. Last year he moved to Northwood.

Surviving are two sons; Earl J. Carpenter; Glennys, Manly; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two brothers; Ralph, Minneapolis; Ernest, Kensett.
