William Huebner, 92, Grafton, died Sunday, January 12, 1986, at an Osage nursing home.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Grafton, with the Rev. James Fladland officiating. Burial was in the Grafton Cemetery, with military rites by the Grafton American Legion 616.
William was born June 21, 1893 in Union Township, Worth County, to Herman and Anna (Heimke) Huebner. He was educated in area schools.
He was a veteran of World War I and served in France and Germany. He was married to Nora Rieck in 1923 at Grafton. She died in 1939.
On February 12, 1940, he was married to Erma Urbatsch at Grafton. He was a painter until moving to the nursing home in 1981.
Mr. Huebner was a member of the American Legion for 62 years, and a member of the Disabled Veterans of America. He also was a member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Grafton.
Survivors include his wife, Erma, Osage; one daughter, Delores (John) Thomassen, Shelby, NC; one son Dale (Carol) Huebner, Mason City; one sister, Alphia Walk, Albert Lea, MN; one brother, Irving, Grafton; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
