Manly, Iowa - Wilma Lou Benttine, 76, of Manly, died Thursday, March 22, 2012, at the Manly Care Center.

Funeral services for Wilma will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Tuesday, March 27, at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, 2502 S. Jefferson Ave., Mason City, with Pastor Emily Horrell officiating. Inurnment will be held in Memorial Park Cemetery, Mason City.

Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be left to Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, Mason City.

Wilma Lou Benttine, daughter of Bertie and Grace Bean, was born May 19, 1935, in Colwell, Iowa.

She attended and graduated from Nashua High School and furthered her education at NIACC and Hamilton Business College, graduating with an A.A. degree. She worked for a veterinarian in Nashua and worked for Lutheran Mutual Insurance in Waverly for a couple of years.

She was united in marriage to Clayton Benttine, and to this union four children were born: Elizabeth, Jim, John and Curtis. They made their home in Little Cedar and Riceville before divorcing and later Wilma moved to Mason City. Wilma lived in Mason City for many years before moving to the Manly Care Center.

Wilma enjoyed reading, painting and crafts. She was an avid bingo player and enjoyed watching football and March Madness. She also liked working in her flower garden, bird watching and most of all, spending time with her family. Wilma was a member of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, Mason City.

Those left to cherish Wilma's memory include her four children, Elizabeth (John) Krause, Manly, Jim (Kim) Benttine, Osage, John Benttine, Osage, Curtis (Rebecca) Benttine, St. Ansgar; grandchildren, Judy (Joe) Griswold, Manly, Heather Krause, Manly, and her fiancé, Ross Ott, Rockford, Brian Benttine, Austin, Minn., Nikki (Darin) DeWalle, Osage, Dawn Benttine, St. Ansger, Linda Benttine and significant other, Ben Mobley, St. Ansger, and Kalia Strickler, St. Ansger; great-grandchildren, Maleah Benttine, Osage, Leila Griswold, Manly, Noah Griswold, Manly, and Devin DeWalle, Osage; sisters, Zaneta Walters, Osage, Marilyn (Bob) Sherman, Swisher, Iowa; and her brother, Steven Bean, Dover, Del.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, David Bean.
