Lora A. Walk, 99, Grafton, died Tuesday, February 22, 1994, at Mitchell County Memorial Hospital, Osage.
Funeral services were held Friday at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Grafton, with the Rev. Gregory Bjornstad and the Rev. Rose Marie Lewis officiating. Burial was in the Grafton Cemetery.
Lora was born January 15, 1895, in rural Grafton, a daughter of Julius and Bertha (Rieck) Bruesewitz. She attended rural schools. Her hobbies were sewing, gardening and reading.
Lora was the oldest resident of Grafton and will be remembered as a historian.
She married Christ Walk on January 1, 1915, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Grafton, where she was a lifelong member. They farmed west of Grafton until Christ died in 1961 and she moved to Grafton.
She is survived by two sons, Harley (Alphia) Walk, Grafton, and Lowell (Virginia) Walk, Grafton; one sister, Myrtle Buechele, Grafton; three grandchildren, Anne (Harry) Hammond, Boulder, CO, Mark (Tracy) Walk, Osage, and Nancy Walk, Grafton; and four great-grandchildren, David and Christopher Hammond, Boulder, CO, and Allison and Stephany Walk, Osage.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one sister, Lydia Kuntz, and one brother, Art Bruesewitz.
