AGED GRAFTON RESIDENT DIES
GRAFTON MAN DIES AT HOME OF DAUGHTER FOLLOWING A LONG ILLNESS

William Petznick Sr. 89, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Albert Krueger, Thursday evening. He had been ill for some time and dropsy caused his death.

Mr. Petznick was born October 6, 1844 in Province Brandenburg, New Branlenburg, New Market, Germany. At 24, he came to America, working for several years as a farm hand, finally locating in Mitchell county.

In 1873 he was married to Louisa Feldt, who preceded him in death. A few years later they moved to Worth county, three miles northeast of Grafton, on the farm known as the Fred Petznick farm. About 29 years ago they retired and moved to Grafton.

The last ten years of his life he spent with his daughater, Mrs. Albert Krueger.

Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon. Rev. C. Landdeck officiating. Burial was in the Lutheran cemetery.

Those surviving are Mrs. Martha Krueger of Grafton, Mrs. Emma Bartz of Minot, N.D., Mrs. Ida Roberts of Kansas City, Mo., Gus Petznick, William Petznick, Herman Petznick and Fred Petznick all of Grafton, 17 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
