NORTHWOOD, IA - Ethel M. Luckason, 88, OF 4385 Dale Ave., LeRoy, MN, died Wednesday (Dec. 27, 2006) at Mercy Medical Center in Coon Rapids, MN.

Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday, December 30, 2006, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 412 N. Broadway St., Manly, with the Rev. David Kucera officiating. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Manly.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 PM today at the Conner Colonial Chapel, 1008 First Ave., Northwood, with a Scriptural wake service at 6:30 PM.

Ethel was united in marriage to Lester Luckason on August 20, 1938, in Mason City; to this union four children were born. Ethel was a homemaker until she went to work as a seamstress for Kellums in Mason City for several years until her retirement. She also worked at the Lutheran Retirement Home as a nurse's aid. In 1985, she moved from the farm to Northwood, later moving to LeRoy, MN in 1999.

Ethel loved sewing, crocheting, quilting, baking and gardening; her greatest love was spending time with her family and friends. Ethel was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Manly.

Ethel is survived by her children, Barbara Jensen, of Northwood, Corinne (Eddie) Runde, of LeRoy, MN, Arne Luckason and Fiancee, Lori Stolenberg, of Kensett; nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; along with several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Margie Luckason, and four brothers and two sisters.
