October 19, 1911 - March 1, 1987

NORTHWOOD, IA - Lester Ellsworth Luckason, 75, of Northwood, died Sunday (March 1, 1987) at a Manly care center.

Funeral services will be 1:30 PM Thursday at Bethany Lutheran Church, Kensett, with the Rev. Harry Peterson Officiating. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Manly.

Visitation is after 3 PM today at Hogan-Bremer-Connor Colonial Chapel in Northwood.

He was born on October 19, 1911, on the family farm near Kensett to Arne and Carolyn (Severson) Luckason. He attended Worth County schools.

He married Ethel Hanson on August 20, 1938, at Holy Family Parsonage, Mason City.

Mr. Luckason enjoyed raising cattle. He was a longtime member of the Worth County Fair Board and Bethany Lutheran Church, Kensett.

Survivors include his wife, Ethel, Northwood; two daughters, Corine Runde, Leroy, MN, and Barbara Jensen, Frazer, MT; one son, Arne of Kensett; nine grandchildren; and two sisters, Alice Dahl, Northwood, and Bernice Luken, Kensett.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, and one sister.
