October 11, 1894 – March 12, 1982
MANLY, IA – Mrs. Blanche E. Hebel, 87, of Manly, died Friday (March 12, 1982) at a St. Ansgar nursing home.
Funeral services will be held at 10 AM today at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Manly, with the Revs. Joseph Slepicka and Roger Rethamel officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Hogan-Bremer-Bride Colonial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Hebel was born October 11, 1894 in Worth County. She married Chris Hebel in 1914 in Manly.
She was a member of Sacred heart Catholic Church, Ladies Guild, AmVets Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary and was a Gold Star Mother.
She is survived by eight daughters, Mrs. Woodrow (Betty) Isenhart, Chicago, IL,; Mrs. Chester (Adelaide) Anderson, Kensett; Mrs. Ed (Dixie) Nelson, Clear Lake; Mrs. Cecil (Clarice) Nelson and Mrs. Robert (Blanche) Saland, both of Waterloo; Mrs. Joe (Mary) Mandt, Tampa, FL; Mrs. Donna Weiland, Goggin, and Mrs. Tom (Dorothy) Naples, Minneapolis, MN; three sons, Jack and Emil, both of Manly; and Christy, Yelm, WA; 44 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Helen Hebel, Manly; Mrs. Leona Johnson, Mason City and Mrs. Marie Martnelli, San Francisco, CA and a brother, Joe Yezek, Manly.
