DONALD E. OUVERSON

FERTILE - Donald E. Ouverson, 78, of Fertile, died Monday (Sept. 6, 1999) at the Iowa Veterans Home, in Marshalltown.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Petersen Lund Funeral Home, 505 N. Clark, Forest City, with the Rev. Roger Kampstra, of the Fertile Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be in Brush Point Cemetery, Fertile

Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. Friday until time of services at the funeral home.

Donald E. Ouverson was born in Fertile on Oct. 8, 1920, the son of Martin P. and Christina (Erickson) Ouverson. Don graduated from Fertile High School in 1938.

He served in the U.S. Army Medical Corps from November of 1942 to June of 1945. Following his discharge, Don began a life-long career in sales.

He is survived by five sons, Dennis, Greg, Marty, Garry and Jerry B. Ouverson; two daughters, Sandra Grantz and Karen Sue Richardson; a brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Ruth Ouverson, of Fertile; a sister, Edna Hill, of Forest City; sister-in-law, Ella Mae Ouverson, of Clear Lake; 13 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a good friend, Don Payer, of Ames.

Don was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Leonard and a sister, Irene Wolter.
