Albert Diedrich, 67, Dies at Northwood; Plan Rites Tuesday

Northwood – Albert Diedrich, 67, died Saturday at his home here following an illness which had kept him confined to his house for the past ten years or more.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 o’clock at the home followed by rites at Zion Lutheran church with the pastor, the Rev. William Tiede in charge.

Mr. Diedrich is survived by his wife and three sons.

A.F. DIEDRICH FUNERAL HELD
Rites of Northwood Man, German Native, Are Held at Church

Northwood – Funeral services for Albert Frank Diedrich, 67, were held Tuesday afternoon at the Diedrich home and at Zion Lutheran church with the pastor, the Rev. William Tiede, in charge.

Burial was in Sunset Rest Cemetery. Mr. Diedrich died last Saturday at his home here after a lingering illness of about 10 years.

Mr. Diedrich was born in Klein, Schlatakowm, Germany, on October 6, 1872. When he was 13 years of age he was brought to America by his parents who located at Grafton. In 1927 the family moved to Northwood acquiring a small acreage.

He is survived by his wife and three sons; Clarence and Laurence Diedrich of Northwood; and Arthur Diedrich of Albert Lea. A brother, David Diedrich, resides at Grafton and a sister, Mrs. Augusta Dahn, in Mason City.

There are also four grandsons and a number of nephews and niece living.

Pallbearers chosen from among his relatives were W. F. Diedrich; William Diedrich; Walter Diedrich; Otto Diedrich; Reuben Diedrich; and LaVerne Diedrich.

Albert married Mathilda Wilde who was born October 18, 1875 and died February 10, 1952. He was the son of Christian Diedrich and Frederica Scheel.

She was the daughter of Johann Friedrick Ferdinand Wilde and Augusta Frederika Wilhelmina Tesch.

Note*** Albert Diedrich’s World War I Draft Registration has his name as Albert Herman 45, born October 6, 1872, living in Kensett, Worth Co., Iowa; a farmer; and his nearest relative Mathilda, wife. The obit says Albert Frank and the census has Albert F.
