Operation Dec. 18

Walter Virchow, 42, farmer living in the vicinity of Grafton, died at a Rochester hospital December 26, following an operation for ulcers of the stomach, performed December 18.

Mr. Virchow was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Virchow, and was born near Grafton, where he spent his entire life.

He married Miss Augusta Kirchgatter, and to them were born two children, Irene and Rueben, who survive him Both are at home with their mother.

The deceased is a distant cousin of the local Virchows.

The body was brought to the Champion Funeral Home Thursday evening, and the following day funeral services were held at the farm home, in charge of the Reverend Carl Landdeck. Burial was made in the Grafton Cemetery.
