Ramona (Mona) June Borseth, age 78, of Northwood, Iowa, died Nov. 15, 2006. Funeral services were held Nov. 18, 2006 at Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home in Northwood. Internment will be at a later date in Oakwood Cemetery, Austin, MN.

Mona was born June 19, 1928 to Leon and June (McLaughlin) Longshore in Ames, Iowa. She attended school in Ames for a few years until the family moved to Boone, IA., and she finished her schooling there in 1946. In 1946, she began work at Northwestern Bell Telephone Co., as operator until 1952. She then married Eugene Borseth and they moved to a farm near Northwood. Mona and her husband had three children.

In 1968, Mona and her husband moved to Northwood where she worked at their family's business, Borseth Repair. She retired in 1993.

For hobbies she enjoyed gardening, canning, and baking. She entered bread in the fair two years, and took the blue ribbon both times.

Mona was preceded in death by her parents, Leon and June Longshore.

Ramona is survived by her husband Eugene; son Layne and wife Valerie and their sons Rollie and Glen; daughter Roxann and husband Keith Asleson and their son Blake; son Lonnie and his wife Diane and their son Caleb.
