Olaf Martin Urdahl was born May 23, 1889, in Brookfield township, Worth county, to Andrew and Maria Urdahl. He was baptized and confirmed at Elk Creek church by the Rev. L. O. Pederson and attended rural school in Brookfield township.
At the age of 17 he left for Beresford, S. Dak., where he was engaged in farming. When retiring he moved to Sioux City, Iowa, where he has resided the last few years. He died Feb. 15 at St. Vincent’s hospital, Sioux City, at the age of 70. He never married.

He is survived by five sisters and two brothers, (Nettie) Mrs. W. H. Dyer, Mason City; (Bertha) Mrs. Arthur Houg, Jasper, Minn.; (Selma) Mrs. Helmer Harmon, Northwood; (Mabel) Mrs. Tilman Kittelson, Beresford, S. Dak.; (Lillian) Mrs. L. J. Woodstock, Minneapolis; Alfred Urdahl, Everett, Wash.; and Adin Urdahl, Wadena, Minn. He is preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Mrs. Charles Rommereim and a brother, Norman.

Funeral services will be held this Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at the Conner Funeral Home with Rev. Nels Otterstad officiating. Soloist will be Mrs. Lila Thompson. Pallbearers are nephews of the deceased, Boyd Harmon, Buell Kittelson, Allen Houg, Harvey Bovill, Jim Brown, and Lawrence Dyer. Burial will be in the family lot in Sunset Rest cemetery
