John Folmuth

John Folmuth, farmer, is a native of Germany. He was born Dec. 27, 1846. He came to America in 1872, landing at New York City. He went directly to Chicago IL, remaining there fourteen days. He then obtained work on a farm where he worked five years. He then went to Cerro Gordo Co., Iowa, remaining two years; then came to Worth county in 1880 and settled, where he now lives on Section 15, Lincoln township.
He now owns eighty acres of good land. He was married Feb. 10, 1880 to Anna Tossel. They have 2 children - Anna and John. He served fourteen months in the 2nd Artillery Regiment, General Hartman's in the late Franco-Prussian war. His regiment was Prussian.
