I am searching for the birth mother of my husband: born REX ELLIS on April 19.1940. He was adopted from the iowa soldier's orphans home. Parents not married. father'name and whereabouts unknown. Mother was distitute and said child should be subject to adoption. This was approved by a judge of the districe court of polk county, iowa. On april 31,1940 was adopted by harold and ruth tunison. adoption made permanent on august 23, 1941 signed by Judge W>.R. Haines. filed by I.M. unllen: clerk district court of scott county, iowa.
