GLEASON, PATRICK

Hello.
I'm searching for my grandfather's brother, Patrick Gleason (b: 1878 in Nevada).
In the 1925 Iowa State Census he is with the Lloyd Rinesmith family in Sioux City.
I cannot find him in any records between 1885 and 1925 other than the 1885 Nebraska State Census and the above mentioned Iowa census. He was never married as far as I know.
According to letters to his sister, in 1918 he had been around Sioux City from about 1908. But he was also in Winnebago, Nebraska about that same time (1918) working for a Bert Kilmer.
I am seeking ANY records of him from 1900-1930. I believe he died between 1925 and 1930. Consequently, a death record should be available for him IF he died in Iowa.
Can the Iowa Vital Records department provide a search over 5 years for a death certificate?
I am an amateur at this and am at a loss about this fellow. A death notice or record would certainly put closure to my dilemma.
Thank you for any help!
Greg
