UTE, Iowa - Cecelia "Pat" Wessling, 95, of Danbury and Ute, Iowa, passed away Saturday, Dec. 16, 2006, at Elmwood Care Centre in Onawa, Iowa.

Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Danbury, Iowa, with the Rev. Terry Roder officiating. Burial will be in Danbury Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. today, with a St. Mary's Rosary Society rosary at 3:30 p.m. and a vigil wake service at 7 p.m., at Armstrong Funeral Home in Mapleton, Iowa. Visitation will resume one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the church.

Cecelia "Pat" Wessling was born Oct. 22, 1911, in rural Ute, to Venter and Katherine (Shanahan) McCall. She married Herman Wessling on Jan.
24, 1939. She worked at the Danbury School as a cook for a number of years. Herman died Sept. 3, 1959.

She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, St. Mary's Rosary Society and the American Legion Auxiliary Carlson Frum Unit 336 of Danbury.

Survivors include a sister, Geneva Larsen of Napa, Calif.; a brother, Venter McCall of San Antonio, Texas; many nieces and nephews; grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman; three sons, Roger, Rollie and Michael; her sisters, Mary McCall, Edna Hodges, Charlotte Jacobs and Margaret Barnes; and brothers, Norbert McCall and Everett McCall.
