Thomas Charles Walsh, sr., 75, 309 W. 14th street who was struck by an automobile last Thursday at W. Seventh and Omaha streets, died Monday morning in St. Vincent's hospital, The body was taken that day to Danbury, la., where funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday in St. Patrick's church with burial in St. Patrick's cemetery. Rev. Francis McNeill will officiate.

Mr. Walsh suffered a broken left ankle, head injury and possible internal injuries, when he was struck by a car, which police said, was driven by Harold B. Gray, 2718 Rebecca street. A patrolman expressed the opinion that Mr. Walsh, who was on his way to mass at St. Boniface Catholic church, walked into the car. Mr. Gray took the injured man to the hospital in his automobile.

Mr. Walsh was born in Cedar County June 10, 1869 and lived during his childhood in and near Portsmouth, la., until he moved to Danbury about 1910. He was married to Bessie Hardman of Danbury April 2, 1913 there. They remained in Danbury until 1937 when they came here to live.

Surviving are the widow; one son, Thomas Charles, Jr., three daughters, Cpl. Pauline Walsh of Tyndall field, Fla. Mrs. Mary Moreland and Miss Joanna Walsh both of Sioux City, and three grandchildren. A daughter Anna preceded her father in death in 1924. Mr. Walsh had been retired from business since coming here.
