Mrs. Wallace Kennedy Dead

Mary P. Kennedy was born in Alberg, Denmark, August 2, 1867. With her parents she moved to Ameriah in 1871 and grew to womanhood in Shelby County, Iowa.

She was married to W. A. Kennedy on May 10, 1887, at Harlan. Eight children were born into the home, three sons and five daughters. They are Edward, Herman and George all of Danbury, Mrs. Beatrile Salsbury of Danbury, Mrs. David Hamilton of Oto, Mrs. May Tryon of Lyons, Neb., Miss Gladys Kennedy of Mapleton and Miss Nellie Kennedy of Sioux City.

She also leaves her husband, W. A. Kennedy, two brothers, Peter and Jerry Christensen of Harlan and two sisters, Mrs. Stena Larson and Mrs. Anna Petersen of Harlan.

For the last year she has suffered with goitre, having spent several months at Rochester, Minn. But the help of man failed. She passed away at her home near Mapleton on February 22, 1923.

Funeral services were held at the home, conducted by Rev. George W. Dunn of St. John's M. E. church of Mapleton. Interment was made in the Danbury cemetery.
