5 May 1976MAPLETON, Iowa-- Miss Gladys Ella Kennedy, 74, formerly of Mapleton, died April 30 at a hospital at Denver, Colo.
Services will be at 2 p.m. May 6 in the Walter Funeral Home at Mapleton. The Rev. Walter Enstrom will officiate. Burial will be in Danbury Cemetery.
Miss Kennedy was born Jan. 28, 1902, in Missouri. She resided in Kansas, Ute, Mapleton and Omaha before moving to Denver in 1955. She was a registered nurse.
Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Earl (Mary) Tryon of Oto and Mrs. Nellie Crippen of Sioux City.

Gladys Ella Kennedy, daughter of Wallad and Mary (Christensen) Kennedy was born January 28, 1902 at Statesbury, Missouri. She died on Friday, April 30, 1976 at a Denver hospital. Having reached the age of 74 years, 3 months and 2 days.
She lived with her parents, as a young girl she moved to Kansas, they then moved to Ute, Iowa and later to Mapleton, she then lived in Omaha, Nebraska and in 1955 she moved to Denver, Colorado. Gladys was a registered nurse. She had attended the Methodist Church.
Services were held on Thursday, May 6, 1976 at 2:00 p.m. at the Walter Chapel in Mapleton, Iowa with Rev. Walter Enstrom officiating. Burial was in the Danbury Cemetery, Danbury, Iowa.
Pallbearers were Clint Railsback, David Kennedy, Noel Kennedy, Orrin Tryon, Jr., William Eubank, Sr. and William Eubank, Jr.
Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Earl (Mary) Tryon of Oto, Iowa and Mrs. Nellie Crippen of Sioux City, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and three brothers.
