Services Held For Mrs. Horn, 89

Funeral services were held yesterday afternoon at Oto, Ia„ for Mrs. Mary Horn, 89, pioneer resident of Carroll County, who died Tuesday morning of a cerebral hemorrhage at-a nursing home in Sioux City.

The Rev. LeRoy Frank, former pastor of St. Bernard's church at Breda, officiated at the rites. Burial was in the Anthon, la. cemetery.

Until two weeks ago, Mrs. Horn had made her home at Smithland, la., with her son, William, with whom she had lived for a number of years following the death of her husband.

The family had lived for many years on farms near Templeton, Halbur and Roselle.

Mrs. Horn was born at Riverside, la. Except for several years in South Dakota, the family had lived in Iowa.

The son is the only survivor.

Relatives attending the services included: Mr. and Mrs. Nick Goetzinger and son, Vincent; Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Brincks, Roselle; Mr. and Mrs. George Masching, Mrs. Carrol! Birch and son, Jimmy, Mrs. Clarence Morman and daughter, Connie, Carroll; Mr. and Mrs. Tony Lammers, Auburn; Mrs. John Guess, Lake City; Mrs. Norbert Bruening, Mount Carmel; Mrs. Wilbur Klocke, Dedham.

Friends at the rites included: Mr. and Mrs. John Pels, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Schrad, Roselle, and Mrs. Harold Hasford of Mitchell, S. D., formerly of Halbur.
