Mary Clare Holland, 54, wife of Commander J. Graham Holland of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, for the last 14 years, died in a Cedar Rapids hospital Thursday following a lengthy illness.

She was born May 1, 1922, at Anthon, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Richard Hudgel, former Anthon residents. On May 9, 1954, she married J. Graham Holland at Rock Island, Illinois.

She was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church.

Services were Tuesday at 3 p.m. at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Cedar Rapids. Burial and graveside services will be held in Anthon at St. Joseph's Cemetery at 2 p.m. Wednesday with Rev. J.G. Skahill officiating.

Survivors include the husband, five sisters, Mrs. Susan Mack of Omaha, Nebraska: Mrs. Edith Moore of St. Paul, Minnesota; Mrs. Herma Cummings of Denver, Colorado; Mrs. Marjorie Loyd of Hornick; and Mrs. Jeanette Kelley of Davenport, Iowa; two brothers, Dr. Lawrence Hudgel of Casper, Wyoming; and Edwin F. Hudgel of Tucson, Arizona; a stepson, Graham Holland, Jr. of Silver Springs, Maryland; and a stepdaughter, Mrs. Audree Hickman of St. Petersburg, Florida.
