17 November 1960James E. "Ned" Heath was born February 5, 1890, near Lucky Valley and moved to Correctionville about 35 years ago where he has made his home since. On December 2, 1931, he married Zetta B. Sargent at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Anthon. She died December 3, 1951.
Ned passed away November 9, 1960, in a Sioux City hospital. Funeral services were held Saturday, November 12, 1960, at 9:30 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church in Anthon with Father A. Conlon officiating. Burial was in St. Joseph's Cemetery at Anthon under direction of Wilson-Hull Funeral Home.
Survivors include a brother, Ralph H. Heath of Anthon, and three sisters, Mrs. Cecil Fletcher and Mrs. Genevieve Brown of Anthon and Mrs. Dorothy Schram of Spokane, Washington.
