ANTHON, Iowa -- Mrs. Rose Ethel Greene, 81, of Anthon died Thursday at a Sioux City hospital after a brief illness.

Services will be at 10 a.m.- Monday at Church of Christ in Athon. The Rev. John Green will officiate. Burial will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery at Anthon under direction of Walter Funeral Home of Anthon.

Mrs. Greene, the former Rose Ethel Coleman, was born on June 26, 1901, at Philadelphia, Mo. She came to Iowa at age 1 1/2. She married Edward Greene on Sept. 23, 1925, at Sioux City. He died in 1964.

She was a member of the Church of Christ and the Ladies Christian Society of the church.

Survivors include a son, Edward of Yankton, S. D.; a daughter, Mrs. Orville (Mary) Dammann of George, Iowa; four grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.
