Mrs. Benjamin H. Goodman, 52, a former Anthon resident, passed away December 2, 1972, in a hospital at Phoenix, Arizona, after a long illness. Mass of the Resurrection was held December 5 in the Church of St. Agnes with burial in St. Francis Cemetery, Phoenix.

Mary Agnes Walling, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Walling, was born at Anthon in 1920. She attended schools here and graduated from Anthon Public School in 1937. She attended Wayne State Teachers College in Wayne, Nebraska, for one year. On February 13, 1942, she married Benjamin Goodman at Buffalo, New York. She returned to Anthon and taught rural school near here until her husband completed his military service. They moved to California in 1945.

In 1955 they moved to Phoenix where she lived the remainder of her life.

Survivors include her husband, one son, Benjamin J. Goodman of Phoenix, three sisters, Mrs. Joseph (Ruth) Silva of Oakland, California, Mrs. James (Margaret) Baird of Norwalk, California, and Mrs. Joseph (Jean) Quirk of San Leandro, California.
