Following a short illness, Daniel Forch, five-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. George Forch of Anthon, died late Thursday afternoon in St. Joseph's Hospital in Sioux City, where he had been a patient for ten days. After receiving several blood transfusions, the youngster underwent a spleen operation Thursday morning, but failed to rally and passed away about 5 o'clock that day.

Daniel Richard Force was born March 3, 1938, at Anthon and spent his entire life here.

Funeral services were conducted at 9:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church by Rev. A. Conlon and burial under direction of Hudgel's Funeral Service was in Mt. St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery at Anthon.

Survivors include his parents, brother Gerald and sister, Barbara June, all of Anthon.
