7 September 1972Walter J. Flynn, 72, retired Anthon farmer, died Tuesday night at a Sioux City hospital after a long illness.
Mr. Flynn was born at Dunlap, Iowa, Feb. 6, 1900.
He moved to Anthon with his parents when he was 3 years of age and lived on the same farm the rest of his life until he moved into the town of Anthon last fall.
He is survived by a brother, John, of Anthon.
Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Anthon.
Burial will be in the parish cemetery. The Rev. J. G. Skahill will officiate. The Rosary will be at 8 o'clock tonight at the Walter Funeral Home in Anthon.
