Paul Wilfred Flemming, 76, of Correctionville died Monday, January 20, 1997, at the Correctionville Nursing and Rehab Center.

Funeral services were held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 22, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Anthon, IA with Father David J. Hogan conducting the services. Sister M. Clare Walling served as lector LaMona Welte was the organist with Linda Dixon and Virginia Cunningham as soloists.

Pallbearers were Chet Bahrke, Wayne Rath, Eugene Baker, Wayne Amburg, Arlin Boothby, and Phillip Yockey. Ray and Charlotte Mammen were in charge of the flowers. Phillip Yockey arranged the cars. A flag presentation was given by American Legion Mumford-Moon Post 79 and V.F.W. Sioux Valley Post 1750 both of Correctionville. Burial was in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Anthon, IA, under the direction of Barker Funeral Home, Correctionville.

Mr. Flemming was born November 27, 1920 the son of Paul Michael and Mary Ann (Carr) Flemming at Correctionville, IA. He graduated in 1942 from
Correctionville High School.

He lived in Correctionville all of his life. He farmed with his father. After farming Paul worked for Sue Bee Honey in Sioux City, IA. He then worked at Midwest Industries in Ida Grove, IA, worked at the Moville school in Moville, IA, and Cherokee Mental Health Institute in Cherokee, IA.

Paul was a member of St. Jospeh's Catholic Church in Anthon, Iowa, American Legion Mumford Moon Post #79 and V.F.W. Sioux Valley Post 1750 of Correctionville, IA.

Survivors include one sister, Irene Hart of Correctionville: a sister-in-law, Dorothy Flemming of Correctionville, IA and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Leo, Clarence, and Gerald; four sisters, Lucille Flemming, Pauline Flemming, Kathleen Burnham and Vivian Sevening.
