ANTHON, Iowa -- William Martin "Bill" Eickholt, 90, of Anton, died Friday, Oct. 8, 1993, at the Colonial Manor Nursing Home in Correctionville, Iowa, after a long illness.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Anthon, with the Rev. Gerald Zensen officiating. Burial will be in Mt. St. Joseph Cemetery, Anthon. Visitation will be after 3 p.m. today, with family present 7-9 p.m. and a vigil wake service at 8 p.m., at the Walter- Armstrong Funeral Home, Anthon.

Mr. Eickholt was born Sept. 20, 1903, at Crookston, Minn., son of Theodore and Anna (Hoelker) Eickholt. He moved to Anthon as a child and attended school there. He married Virgie Thompson Nov. 8, 1933, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. He farmed and kept bees in the Anthon area until his retirement.

He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife; three sons and their wives, William and Phyliss of Cherokee, Iowa, Walter and Esther of Carson, Iowa, and Francis and Marlene of Royal Palm Beach, Fla.; a daughter and her husband, Alice and Kenneth Bunnell of Anthon; a sister, Anna Miller at the Colonial Manor; 12 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by four brothers, Joe, Frank, Anton and Theodore: two sisters, Mary Kuhn ad Hannah Eickholt, a daughter, Margaret Elaine Eickholt and a grandson, Edward William Eickholt.

Pallbearers will be Robert Bunnell, Joel, Alan, Richard, Brent, Ronald and David Eickholt, Ryan and Mike Weatherill, Troy Martin.
