Margaret A. Eickholt, 90, of Anthon, died Sunday, October 11, 1992, at Embassy Tower Care Center in Sergeant Bluff.

Services were held Wednesday, October 14, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Anthon with Rev. Gerald Zensen officiating. Burial was in Mt. St. Joseph Cemetery under direction of Walter-Armstrong Funeral Home.

Margaret, the daughter of Henry and Anna (Brunning) Kuhn, was born March 12, 1902, on a farm in Cedar Co., Nebraska. She moved with her family to a farm near Sloan as a child and graduated from Sloan High School. The family moved to a farm seven miles west of Anthon. She married Joseph J. Eickholt January 17, 1922, at Anthon. The couple farmed in the Moville and Correctionville areas for a number of years and moved to a farm near Anthon in 1943. They retired in September 1959 and moved into Anthon. Mr. Eickholt died December 8, 1959.

In 1960 she became housekeeper for Father Conlon, Father Benjamin and Father Skahill in Anthon, retiring in 1987.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Altar Society and Catholic Daughters of America.

Survivors include a son, John, retired Lt. Col., U.S. Air Force, and his wife Lynn of Tacoma, Washington, many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and five sisters.
