Ligouri E. "Mick" Conley, 76, of Homer, Nebraska, died October 11 in a Pender, Nebraska, hospital.

Services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, October 14, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Anthon with Rev. J.G. Skahill officiating. Burial was in Mt. St. Joseph Cemetery under direction of Walter Funeral Home of Anthon.

Pallbearers were grandsons.

Military graveside services were conducted by McNiff Post #389, American Legion of Anthon.

Ligouri Conley, son of James and Bridget Burke Conley, was born August 24, 1899, at Tama, Iowa. He came to Anthon at the age of 11. He married Nina McBrayer in Anthon in 1921. He moved to Sioux City in 1939 where he was a stationery engineer at the Mayfair Hotel. She died in 1939. He married Della Wingett May 20, 1961, at Elk Point. They moved to California in 1970 and to Homer in 1973.

He was a member of the Cathedral of the Epiphany in Sioux City. He was a veteran of World War II, and a member of the American Legion.

Survivors include the widow; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Agnes O'Shaughnessy of Long Beach, California, and Mrs. LeRoy (Lois) McCubbin of Manchester, Iowa; three sons, Thomas of Sioux City, John of Monrovia, California and Pat of Temple City, California; a sister, Mrs. Henry Fitzpatrick of Sioux City; five stepchildren, 22 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

He was preceded by his parents, his first wife Nina, three sons, several brothers and sisters.
