Mrs. M. E. Carr died at her home east of town Sunday evening, April 8.

Mrs. Carr was born in Cascade County, near Dubuque, 57 years ago, and has lived on the farm where she died, for about thirty years.

She leaves eleven children, six boys and five girls. Two girls are married, Mrs. Paul Fleming of Correctionville, and Mrs. Jim McNiff of Anthon, and John, the oldest boy is married. The rest are at home. Mr. Carr died seven years ago.

The funeral was held Wednesday morning at the St. Joseph church.
