John V. Anderson, 76, 1020 1/2 Fourth St., died Monday morning at a Sioux City hospital following a brief illness.

Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church. The Rt. Rev. Msgr. Edward C. Lilly will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery at Anthon under direction of the Larkin Funeral Home, Sioux City.

Military rites will be conducted at the cemetery by Henry V. McKenna Post 650 American Legion, of Oto.

The Rosary will be recited at 8:30 o'clock tonight at the funeral home.

Mr. Anderson was born April 27, 1892, at Anthon. He was a resident of Anthon most of his life. He was an employe of the Carl Livermore Standard Station at Oto before moving to Sioux City six years ago.

He married Marie A. Thompson Aug. 13, 1930, at Thermopolis, Wyo. He was a veteran of World War 1 and a member of Laurens C. Shull Post, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Sioux City.

Survivors include the widow; and a brother, Elmer E. Anderson of Sioux City.
