John Weidenfeld, 69, 207 12th Street, died in a hospital Thursday morning, after a brief illness. He was a former resident of Merrill and came to Sioux City three years ago. Mr. Weidenfeld was born March 27, 1876, at Newcastle, Neb.

Surviving are his widow, Susie; three sons, Cpl. Robert, with the army air forces in India; John of Sioux City and Pvt. Richard in the army in Italy; three daughters, Miss Anne Mae Weidenfeld and Miss Evelyn Weidenfeld, both of Sioux City, and Mrs. Lorene Plaszezak of Paw Paw, Mich.: one brother, Henry, Hartington, Neb.; three sisters, Mrs. Kate Lammers, Ponca, Neb., Mrs. Marie Stewart, Colville, Wash., and Mrs. Frances Smith, Livingston, Mont., and three grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a. m. Saturday at the Cathedral of Epiphany. Rev. T. M. Parle will officiate. Bunal will be in Calvary cemetery.

The rosary will be recited at 6:30 o'clock tonight at Larkin's funeral home.
