Mrs. Benjamin Reed Died 1946

Mrs. Benjamin Reed, 85, a resident of Sioux City more than 30 years, died Wednesday in the home of a son, Robert Reed of Mason City, with whom she had made her home the last three years.

Interment will be today at Graceland Park cemetery. The body will be at Graceland chapel from 1 to 2. m. today.

Mrs. Reed was born in 1861 in Grant County, Wis. She was married to Benjamin Reed in Wisconsin and they, came to Iowa to make their home. The family residence was at 2812 Home Street, Sioux City. Mr. Reed was an employe of the Milwaukee railroad. He died here several years ago.

Surviving Mrs. Reed are two sons, Robert of Mason City and Wallace of Chicago; Two daughters, Mrs. Horace McCaughey of Mason City and Mrs. George Bartles of Cassville, Wis.; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. August Schaal of Burbank, Cal.
