Daniel F. Matney, 53, 2615 S. Helen Street, an employe at Armour & Co. for 21 years, died Sunday at a hospital after a long illness.

He was born May 18, 1892, at The Dalles, Ore. In 1929 he came to Sioux City.

Survivors are the widow, Elsie; four sons, Floyd, Marvin and Donald, all of Sioux City; Clifford in the army at Aberdeen, Md.; three daughters, Mrs. Eva Baker, and Mrs. Dorothea Marks, both of Sioux City, and Mrs. Violet Kilburn of Spokane, Wash.; three brothers, Evera of Scranton, Kan., and Grover and Harvey, both of Omaha; two sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Neely of Topeka, Kan., and Mrs. Goldie Mix of Los Angeles and three grandchildren.

The body was taken to the Rutledge funeral home.

The funeral of Daniel F. Matney, 53, 2615 S. Helen Street, who died Sunday, will be held at 2 p. m. Thursday in the Rutledge chapel. Rev. Gerald F. Houk of the Central Assembly of God church will officiate. Interment will be in Memorial Park cemetery.
