1 November 1943RITES TUESDAY FOR HARRINGTON
Mortgage Firm Head Victim of Heart Attack
Funeral services for T. F. Harrington, 74, 611 17th street, president of the Continental Mortgage company, who died unexpectedly of a heart attack Saturday after noon, will be held at 9 a. m. Wednesday at the Cathedral of Epiphany. Rev. T. M. Parle will officiate, and burial will be in Calvary cemetery.
The body will be taken to the home Tuesday afternoon from Larkin's funeral home.
He formed a partnership in the real estate business with H. P. Lockwood in 1904, and 1905 to 1910 conducted a real estate business with, Ed M. Hunt. In 1911 he became associated with the Toy National bank of which he was president two years. He formed the Continental Bank and Mortgage company in 1915.
He was a member of Epiphany council 743, Knights of Columbus.
Survivors include in addition to Maj. Harrington, the widow. Marie and two other sons, Thomas F. jr., Sioux, City and Gerald, Des Moines, as well as three daughters, Mrs. E. J. Culligan, San Bernardino, Cal., Mrs. L. D. Larkin, Moose Jaw. Can., and Mrs. F. E. Hitchcock, Des Moines. A brother, Andrew J. Wentworth, S. D.; two sisters, Mrs. M. Mohler, Vancouver, B. C, and Mrs. Kate Burke, Kingsley, 22 grandchildren and a great-grandchild also survive.

2 November 1943Active pallbearers at funeral services for T. F Harrington, 74, 611 17th street which will be held at 9 a. m. Wednesday at the Cathedral of the Epiphany will be Frank Mulhall, Ralph Tritz, James Burns, Lawrence Gill, Franklin Gill and Walter Mahoney.
Honorary pallbearers will be J. B. Keefe, John W. Carey, Joseph P. O'Donnell, Raymond Duggan, Sylvester Cusack and Thomas Griffin.
The body will be taken to the home this afternoon from Larkin's funeral home.
The Cathedral Study club will say the rosary at 4 p. m. today at the residence. The Knights of Columbus will recite the rosary at 8 p. m., the parishioners at 8:30 p. m. and the Catholic Daughters of America at 9 p. m.
