Mrs. Lena Hedlund, 85, a resident here since 1892, died Saturday morning in her home, 4715 Military Road, after a long illness

She was born March 1, 1861, in Sweden, and came to America in 1885. She first resided in Manistique, Mich. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran church.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Henry Kuhlmann and Miss Ellen Hedlund, both of Sioux City; a son, Iver, also of Sioux City; a brother, August Olson of Manistique and two grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2 p. m. Monday in the Nelson-Berger funeral home. Rev. Carl Grindberg will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery.

Pallbearers will be A. W. Nelson, Frank Krelly, Harry Magden, John Bain, E. R. Bower and R. B. Searing.
