Sheila was born on Oct. 9, 1926 in Barry, South Wales, Great Britain to Charles A. and Linda M. (Medlicott) Wiltshire. She received her education in Wales in a catholic school before working on the railroad as World War II broke out. In her journal, Sheila wrote, "My childhood was normal... We walked everywhere, no one had a car or telephone and what we didn't have we didn't miss." At age 19, Sheila met and fell in love with a United States Navy Service Man, John L. "Jack" Poulosky. The two were married on June 24, 1946, in Salix, Iowa, in the St. Joseph Catholic Church. The couple lived on a farm near Sioux City and later moved to a farm in rural Ponca in 1948, where they made their permanent home.

Sheila was a farm wife, helping raise bucket calves, chickens, and baby pigs. She also helped milk cows, and did the cooking for the hired hands. Sheila worked for many years at the voting poles on election days. She loved to sew, and was an avid reader. Sheila found her greatest joy in playing with her grandkids and always had some kind of treat for them. She was an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ponca, and was a member of the Altar Society.

Sheila is survived by her son Paul (Jean) Poulosky of Firth, Neb.; daughter Lois (Dennis) Lihs of Sioux City; son Mark (Fran) Poulosky of rural Ponca; and son Brian (Donna) Poulosky of South Sioux City; sister Linda (Rod) Hunt; eight grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

Sheila was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Alec and Bernard; sister Helen; and husband Jack of 50 years.
