The funeral for Victor Leland Thom, 72, of Fargo, N.D., was held at Fargo at 3:30 p.m. at Ivers Chapel Saturday, January 15. Rev. Edward Weckerly officiated.

Pallbearers were Donald E. McCullagh, Paul Strege, Henry Waltz, Leslie Welten, David A. Wolf and Lloyd F. Zander. Ruth Fossum was organist and a trio from the Church of Christ sang.

Burial was made at Correctionville in the Good Hope cemetery at 9:00 a. m. Tuesday, January 18.

Mr. Thom, who had been employed by the Veterans Administration at Fargo, died Thursday, January 13. He was a veteran of World War 1.

He had been active in the work of the American Legion, holding his membership at Goodrich, N. D. He had been 4th district deputy and had served on the department executive committee from the central district.

He was born at Correctionville, August 4, 1893, son of George S. and Ella Orner Thom, early day settlers. He graduated from Correctionville high school with the class of 1912.

He was graduated from Drake University Law School at Des Moines. He practiced law at Goodrich, N.D., coming to Fargo in 1945 to be associated with the Veterans Administration. He retired in 1957 due to ill health. He was also member of the Disabled American Veterans in Fargo and of the Masonic Lodge at McClusky, N. D.

He married Marie R. Carter, September 25, 1926, in Minneapolis.

Survivors include his wife; one brother, Judge George Thom, Jr. of Bismark, N. D.; one sister, Mrs. George (Margaret) Farnsworth of Santa Clara, Cal.

Those in attendance at the burial were Judge George Thom, Jr., of Bismark, N. D., Mrs. George Farnsworth of Santa Clara, Cal., Mr. and Mrs. Craig Thom and John Freeman.
