Mrs. John Coon Services Sunday In Church of Christ

Funeral services for Mrs. John Coon, who passed away Thursday, February 27 at St. Joseph's hospital in Sioux City at the age of 70 years, were held Sunday afternoon at the Church of Christ under the direction of the Wilson-Huff funeral home, with Rev. S. L. Schuler officiating. "The Old Rugged Cross” and “Rock of Ages" was sung by Fern Clark. Genevieve Lill, Wilma LeFebvere and Clair Hatfield with Dean Cockburn at the piano. Mrs. Henry Henderson Jr., and Mrs. Charles Page cared for the flowers. Arrangement of the cars was in charge of Art Perkins. Relatives served as pallbearers and burial was in the Correctionville Cemetery.

Musetta Anderson, daughter of James and Frances Anderson, was born April 9, 1876 at Harlan, Iowa. She lived most of her life in and around Correctionville, with the exception of a few years in Colorado.

She was united in marriage to John Coon September 29, 1892.

Mrs. Coon was a member of the Church of Christ, attending services regularly as long as her health would permit. She was most loved and cherished by a host of friends.

She leaves to mourn her death, the husband and eleven children.

Ted Coon, Cherokee, Oscar Coon, Glendo, Wyo.,_ Goldie Anfinson, Cushing, Cecil Peterson, Pierson, Elva McCleerey, Ellensburg, Wash., Ferne Murray, Los Angeles, Calif., Verle Pilot, Berkeley, Calif., Eva Hunsader, Los Angeles, Calif., Dorothy Fryer, Long Beach, Calif., Margie Ferretti, Portland, Oregon, Wanda Briese, Berkeley, Calif.

Two sons and one daughter preceded her in death. There are 25 grandchildren and 15 great- grandchildren. One sister, Mrs. Maude Fergeson, of Minneapolis, Minn., one brother, Bruce Anderson, of Correctionville, two half -brothers, Clarence, and Ira Deeds of Aitkin, Minn. and a host of relatives and friends.
