Michael E. Tott, 53, of Joshua passed away Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2022, after a brief illness.

Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel, 3220 Stone Park Blvd., Sioux City. Burial will follow at Bluff View Cemetery, Vermillion, S.D. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Online condolences may be sent to www.meyerbroschapels.com.

Mike was born on Aug. 16, 1968, in Sioux City to Hubert and Catherine (Magirl) Tott. He was raised in Sioux City and graduated from Bishop Heelan High School in 1986 and from Iowa State University in 1990. Mike married Amy (Huss) on October 16, 2004, in Sioux City, and they have two children, Zachary and Morgan. Mike worked for several years at Gateway Computers before moving to Texas in 2012 where he was employed by Sabre Industries.

Mike's joy in life came from spending time with his wife Amy and their children Zach and Morgan. Mike was actively involved in coaching the children in their various sports but more importantly instilling in them a deep faith and love of God. Mike loved sports, especially the Green Bay Packers, and loved participating in fantasy sports teams, winning more than one national contest doing so.

Mike is survived by his wife Amy; children Zachary and Morgan of Joshua; brothers Thomas (Kris) of Montrose, S.D., Timothy (Paula) of Sioux City, Robert (Diane) of Ames, Iowa, and Patrick (Lisa) of Sioux City; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law Robert Huss; and sister Mary.
