Lora A. DeVall, 61 of Sioux City, Iowa formally of Amboy, MN. passed away Tuesday, September 13, 2022, at her home, surrounded by her family. Celebration of Life will be held from 1-3pm Saturday, September 17, 2022, at the Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City, 4125 Orleans Ave.

Lora was born September 13, 1961, in Winnebago, Minnesota the daughter of Loren and Margaret (Schaefer) Schwarz. She attended Amboy Good Thunder High School, graduating in 1980. Lora grew up in Amboy, Minnesota. She married Benjamin “Ben” DeVall on July 18, 1992, in Blue Earth, Minnesota and in this union, they had two sons, Joshua and Dakota.

She worked at Normans Café, Telex Communications, was the manager at Pizza Hut, an assembler at Gateway, in the deli department at Hy-Vee, and at Jackson Tech as a Legal Stenographer. Lora loved to be around her grandkids. She enjoyed going on horseback rides, reading, going to concerts, baking, watching the Minnesota Vikings, and going on motorcycle rides. Lora also volunteered for S.T.A.R.S.

Lora is survived by her husband, Ben DeVall, two sons, Joshua (Jennifer) DeVall, Dakota DeVall, best friend, Teresa Polzin, four sisters, Deb Crawmer, Sandy Jellum, Sheryl Schwarz, Brenda Rachuy, brother, Loren “Butch” Schwarz and nine grandchildren: Jasmine, Hannah, Mya, Lilly, Memphis, Emma, Ava, Jordin, and Lucas.

She is proceeded in death by her parents, mother-in-law, Drew Butler, father-in-law, George DeVall, sister-in-law, Kim DeVall, nephew, Zane Crawmer, aunts and uncles.

Lora and her family would like to express a special thank you to the doctors and nurses at Unity Point Hospital as well as June E Nylen Cancer Center. And a big thank you to her brother in law Dave for making her urn.
