Ellen E. Roggatz, 81, of Correctionville died Sunday, October 2, 1994, at a Sioux City hospital.

Services were held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, October 5, at Grace Lutheran Church in Correctionville with Michael Harman officiating. Burial was in Good Hope Cemetery, rural Correctionville, under direction of Barker Funeral Home.

Mrs. Roggatz was born September 13, 1913, near Quimby, the daughter of Ernest and Inez (Streeter) Jeffrey. She married Carl F. Roggatz March 22, 1933, in Elk Point, South Dakota. The couple farmed in the Correctionville area. He died in June 1978.

She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church.

Survivors include four sons and their wives, Wayne and Lois of Anthon, Alvin "Cookie" and Sandy, Don and Mary Jo, and Ron and Linda, all of Correctionville, two brothers and their wives, Ernest "Bud" and Eileen Jeffrey and Harold "Ole" and Lucinda Jeffrey, all of Correctionville, two sisters, Frances Florke of Correctionville and Opal Forch of Sioux City, ten grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson, Duane Ray Roggatz, a brother, Albert Jeffrey, and three infant siblings, Bessie, Raymond and Robert.
