6 November 1984Mrs. Anna A. Goldsmith, 89, Indian Hills Care Center, died Monday in the nursing home.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel. The Rev. Laurice Streyffeler of Wesley United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Banner Township Cemetery at Lawton, Iowa. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today with a family prayer service at 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
Mrs. Goldsmith, the former Anna Almena Ellison, was born Nov. 30, 1894, in Cherokee, Iowa, and moved with her parents to Lawton as a child. She married John T. Goldsmith Jan. 14, 1914, at Lawton. They moved to Sioux City in 1932 from South Sioux City. He died Aug. 26, 1948, in Sioux City.
She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church.
Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Donald Bobier of South Sioux City, Mrs. Richard Whitehouse of Dothan, Ala., Mrs. Carl Roepke of Sioux City and Mrs. Leland Sams of Redwood Falls, Minn.; 19 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.
