LAWTON, Iowa -- Mrs. George Davidson, 88, of Lawton died Sunday in a Sioux City hospital after a short illness.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Lawton Community Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Robert E. Peters will officiate. Burial will be in the Banner Township Cemetery under the direction of the McCulloch Funeral Home of Moville.

Mrs. Davidson, the former Nancy Bates, was born June 16, 1894, in Monticello and graduated from Monticello High School.

She married George Davidson March 1, 1913, in Stamford, S.D. They farmed near Stamford until 1935 when they moved to a farm near Lawton. He died May 2, 1941.

Survivors include three sons, Chauncey and Norman, both of Sioux City, and Marshall of Moville; three daughters, Mrs. Clifford (Jean) Eberly of Lake Helen, Fla., Mrs. T.F. (Georgina) Grigg and Mrs. Jim (Mary) Hays, both of Lawton; a sister, Mrs. Lionel (Mary) Stacey of Sun City, Ariz.; 20 grandchildren, and 28 great-grandchildren.
